Sweet Emotion(al maturity)…

We all have dealt with a person who appears to be an adult on the outside, but displays rather child-like behaviors when a tough situation arises. I was shocked at the amount of stuff I saw in college and even at work that embodies that very stereotype. I also know that there are times when I need to learn to be more objective regarding important issues instead of taking things personally.

David Bohl’s guest blog entry at Dumb Little Man, “3 Ways to Embody Emotional Maturity”, speaks directly to that point - the point being that “emotional maturity” is not an equally divided attribute among people. He digs into three factors making up emotional maturity and poses some introspective questions that challenge you to take a look at your emotional state and how you can improve it.

As we enter the time when New Year’s resolutions are falling by the wayside with an ever quickening pace, why not try to work on getting a handle on our emotional maturity and learn to enhance our interactions, both business and personal, with others?
